NVIDIA's 'Eye Contact' technology uses #AI to make it look as though your eyes are always focused on the camera. It's incredible to see, but at our current speed of technological development, exciting innovation is so common that it's almost boring! What happens when AI is widely used for generating faces rather than just eyes? We will then have to wonder - is this the person I think they are? Are they augmenting their appearance to look better or younger, or to mimic someone else? What happens when the next version of #ChatGPT is generating the conversations? Then we have nearly perfect emulations of humans who can do commercial video conferencing, customer service, therapy, entertainment and education. What about when we have excellent AI that properly emulates general intelligence? Then we have digital people and I don't even know what to say about that. If it goes well it's going to be very interesting from so many perspectives - including behavioural science where we will increasingly need to explore the values, beliefs, and biases of artificial intelligences and groups of human and artificial actors. The future is truly looking wild. If you want to learn more about where it might go, I suggest reading 'All Possible Views About Humanity's Future Are Wild' By Holden Karnofsky Source of video: 1030 on Twitch #artificialintelligence #behavioraleconomics #innovation
Whoa. I'm speechless.
It’s taken me a while to absorb this one . As we say, “When you look somebody in the eyes, you look into their soul.” - physically speaking. Regardless of the high tech usage and it’s implications , we’re in a sorry , confused and false environment of engagement when this kind of “fake” contact becomes the norm. I might as well read a book whilst my tech is making eye contact with you - it’s absurd. And, I will say within our professional environment, that the lack of direct contact, real listening and overall focus is becoming shallower by the day. The Japanese practice Zanshin which retains powerful focus in a relaxed state without distractions. Tech has brilliant advanced positive opportunities but, it’s also becoming an excuse for distractions. The day I personally use tech to falsely present myself , that’s a sorry day !! I’m agreeing to be a product of virtual falsification. 😞 sad.

Soon my AI can talk to your AI, and neither of us will be any wiser. We’ll learn to only believe what we see IRL over a cup of tea! Maybe life will be better that way?
When can I put my digital twin(s) to work for me?
Passing the Turing test here we come!
This is amazing. Just insane how quickly this is all moving 🤯

1yFascinating. In the financial services industry, confirming a person's identity has always been a challenge. Tech developments in the past decade are both starting to address this challenge &, in parallel, taking it to a whole new level. Fascinating. And yes, a little creepy as well.
