Mike Slagh’s Post

Coming this fall: Shift will pay you to learn Business Development in the technology industry. We're looking for military spouses, veterans, transitioning military, and anyone else who has a deeply authentic connection to the military community. Shift has delivered a few innovations for our community over the past few years: • Invested extensive legal and public policy resources to develop a new framework for enterprise and highly-regulated companies to host #dodSkillBridge interns (who are legally classified as unpaid interns), culminating in a publication in the American Bar Association's Journal of Labor & Employment Law that is now commonly cited to get HR/legal teams comfortable w/SkillBridge nationwide • Developed #DefenseVentures in partnership with AFWERX and prototyped a new talent assessment methodology to find, ID, and develop the military's emerging innovation talent • Delivered an employer-facing veteran hiring tool that breaks all industry norms by allowing unlimited hires and unlimited seats, so every veteran and person on the team who thinks veterans are important can play a part in the recruiting process (a veteran hiring initiative can start with 1 perfect hire) And now that we're gearing up to scale our Go-To-Market team, we've decided it's important to deliver further GI Bill, SkillBridge, and job skills training to the community we serve to fuel our growth: We're putting together a 12-month registered apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of Labor that I believe is first-of-its kind. • 12 weeks of paid BD training • 9 months of paid on-the-job learning • Eligible for promotion to Level 1 Account Executive at 6 months ($130K OTE, uncapped bonus) • Eligible for promotion to Level 2 Account Executive at 12 months Level 1 tenure ($160K OTE, uncapped bonus) • World-class preparation for other roles like Customer Success, Strategic Partnerships, Sales Ops, and Sales Enablement & Training • 100% Remote: work from anywhere in the world Our vision: a world where career growth and learning are visible, accessible, and affordable, and the diversity of someone’s experience and achievements are fairly assessed and celebrated.  Transitions across industry should advance someone’s career, rather than hold them back.  If you want to help create that world with us, please reach out to our world-class Business Development trainers Shaun & Lauren. #veterans #milspouses #RiseTogether

Hi Mike: Is there an age limit on this great opportunity? Are SDVs from the Cro-Magnon era encouraged to apply? Please advise and thanks for this great opportunity for VETS. JT
