📢 University of Measure.Monks Launch 🚀 Ensuring you have a diverse team with different backgrounds and experiences is not only the “right thing” to do but has also repeatedly been shown to drive creativity, innovation and ultimately business success. And this is why at Measure.Monks we have been working on ways to improve the diversity in our team and also the wider industry. Being analytically minded, we traced this back to the source of the problem, which is that the graduate pool we were recruiting from was quite narrow. We realised that to increase the number of people entering the industry, we needed to also start considering pre-university candidates, i.e. school leavers. This realisation led us to establish the "University of Measure.Monks", an apprentice scheme aimed at getting school leavers into econometrics and MMM, and guiding them through the applied parts, whilst also supporting them on the academic parts. This has some major benefits for the candidates: 💷 They don't pay c. £10k per annum for 3 years in university tuition fees 🎓 They get a BSc degree in data analytics after 3 years 💲 They earn a salary whilst learning And also practical benefits to us as a company: 🌏 We can recruit from a wider, more diverse pool, increasing the potential candidates in a previously very narrow field 📖 The government subsidises and pays for the tuition fees 🥇 We don't pay National Insurance tax on the candidate whilst they are on the apprentice scheme All in all, each party wins. So we encourage our esteemed competitors, and the general industry, to investigate the above to increase the talent pool entering our sector. In case you needed any more persuasion of the mutual benefits, here are some quotes from Chanel , our most recent Apprentice, Chanel Biju: "In my 5 months as a Measure. Monks apprentice, having the opportunity to combine my studies with working alongside the amazing team on real life projects has provided me with a fantastic learning environment that's really helped my grow my skills". Chanel Biju and Jamie Gascoigne, our COO “Establishing the University Of Measure.Monks has enabled us to increase the pool of talent to enter a career of Marketing Effectiveness. Introducing school leavers, rather than just university graduates, means we can recruit those who offer a different perspective. We are looking to having our next round of recruits this year” #apprenticeships #mmm
