African diasporas understand the challenges the communities in Africa face and what development projects will positively improve lives in the communities. it was uplifting listening to the beneficiaries of a water project facilitated through Coliso in kwahu, Eastern region of Ghana. coliso was founded by an African Diaspora Mr Kwaku Boamah, who is resident in Antwerp Belgium. They have provided water and sanitary facilities in many rural communities all over Ghana. Having access to clean water does not just impact on community health but as farming communities, having a borehole enables them to spend less time fetching water and more time in their farms. They are also able to process the Food they grow with clean water, which is important for food safety. #development #africandiaspora #buildingcommunity Anke Van de Velde Mirana Rajoharison Charlotte Griffiths Rob De Lobel Isolina Boto Evodia U. it has been an inspirational study trip to Ghana with members of the African Diaspora from Belgium, Netherlands and UK. we have visited many villages and also had a successful youth summit in Accra, with young entrepreneurs pitching their projects for funds donated by African Diasporas in Europe. visiting villages in the eastern region and speaking to women in the villages showed us how resilient African women are.
