You might think that our number one support request would be related to digital ads, a branding question, or what's happening with a campaign. Nope. Our most common support question is: "I am too scared to touch our DNS records, can you help?" Your DNS records are not something to be scared of. They are simply a list of "phone numbers" or "addresses" that tell a user, bot, or email traffic where to find things like where your website lives, where to send emails, or how to access a server. Knowing what they are and how to update them is a basic and NOT-so-scary thing to manage once you know what you are looking at. If you are scared of editing your DNS records, this might be the nudge towards confidence you've been looking for! https://lnkd.in/dg33nPTG

Google’s August 2025 Spam Update: What Marketers and SEOs Must Know 🚀 Google rolled out a new spam update on August 26, 2025, marking its first spam-focused algorithm change since December 2024 and the first of the year. The rollout will span several weeks and affects all languages and regions globally. Search Engine Land Google Search Status Here are the key highlights: Scope & Scale: A “normal spam update” targeting violative behaviors under Google’s spam policies—primarily aimed at spam techniques across webpages. Search Engine Land Search Engine Roundtable What It Doesn’t Do: This update does not address link spam or tampering with site reputation abuse. Search Engine Roundtable Rollout Timeline: Announced mid-day ET on August 26, 2025, it’s expected to run for about three weeks, much longer than the December 2024 update (~7 days). Search Engine Roundtable Google Search Status Tip for Site Owners: If you observe ranking or traffic dips, review Google’s spam policies for compliance. Recovery may take months as systems recalibrate. Google for Developers Search Engine Roundtable ** Why This Matters:** Visibility Risks: Websites using manipulative practices might see immediate ranking drops; even clean sites may experience short-term volatility. Recovery Lag: Google’s systems take time to adapt. Any compliance improvements may not yield immediate benefits. Strategic Edge: Those maintaining high-quality, policy-aligned content will likely preserve or enhance visibility. Wrap-Up: Stay alert to fluctuations in your organic metrics. A proactive audit of content, link profiles, and overall site compliance is the best defense—and the first step toward recovery or growth. Feel free to tweak the tone and call-to-action to match your voice and audience. Want help turning this into a slide, visual, or even a LinkedIn story? Let me know!

What really happens when you accept cookies on a website? 🍪 A cookie is a tiny text file your browser stores when you visit a site. It can contain: Simple info like your username or shopping cart contents. Encrypted data for more sensitive details. Some cookies are purely functional — like remembering what’s in your cart when you come back tomorrow. Others track behavior so websites can personalize content or ads. The bottom line: When you accept a cookie, you’re letting a website save data in your browser. Sometimes that’s helpful. Sometimes it’s for marketing. And sometimes it’s both. 🎥 Here’s my chat with the team at Axeptio on why understanding cookies matters more than ever. Do you read cookie banners, or just click “Accept”?

Cookie consent is often the first interaction a customer has with your website. Often overlooked, but awfully important in setting the tone for the user experience of your site. Pierre Gagnon-Gingras and Cedrik Lafrance discuss what really happens when you accept cookies on a website.

🔒 Important Google Ads Update 🚨 To make this easier for you all, I’ve written a quick summary in simple words to help understand this policy update. If you want to read the official announcement, feel free to check it here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/ecs7NVz8 🛑 What Changed? Google Ads now has a strict rule: If your ad account is linked to a Manager (MCC) account that breaks policy, your account can be paused too, even if your own account is 100% clean. ◾ Yes, you heard it right, your ads can stop running just because you’re connected to a violating manager account. ⚠️ What’s the Risk? ◾ Your account could be paused without any fault of your own. ◾ You won’t be able to run ads again unless you unlink from the violating MCC. ✅ How to Protect Yourself: ◾ Work only with trustworthy MCCs or agencies. ◾ Keep track of who manages your account. ◾ If you get a notification from Google, take immediate action to unlink. ◾ Stay updated with Google’s third-party policy. 🧠 A small change in policy, but a big impact if ignored. Stay informed and safe. #GoogleAds #MarketingTips #DigitalMarketing #AdPolicyUpdate #PPC #MCC #GoogleAdsTips #Advertising #PaidAds #PolicyUpdate #PerformanceMarketing #LinkedInUpdates #DigitalAgency #PPCManagers #AdAccounts #MediaBuying #AdCompliance
