My latest opinion piece: "The boundaries between truth and lies are increasingly blurred in our 24/7 digital and media environment. The strategic manipulation of information continues to be a threat in today’s conflicts." "This can be seen in attacks on faith, the Israeli and Hamas conflict, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine." "Understanding the foundations of Soviet-style active measures and how they are still used in today’s online environment is crucial for developing effective countermeasures." There has been a campaign for years to spread misinformation around many important issues. Sadly, it’s effective. I am shocked at how many people parrot propaganda as if it’s fact. It’s truly frightening.

I appreciate the focus of the preservation of truth in these current times. We each have the responsibility to be informed, but with the array of information out there, its sometimes hard to decipher one from the other.

Great read, Lisa! 👍 It's wild how info gets twisted online. I'm curious about those AI solutions you mentioned - sounds like a game changer if they can actually respect our freedom of speech while filtering out the noise.
