A new meeting option in Microsoft Teams enables the organiser to specify that the meeting is automatically recorded. This prevents the all-too-common situation where halfway into a meeting someone asks if the organiser remembered to start the recording🤣 When enabled the meeting recording will automatically start when the first person joins the meeting. One key point, this does not have to be the organiser and the meeting recording will be stored in the OneDrive of that person, not the organiser. I can imagine some fun and games when trying to locate the recording of a meeting attended by quite a few people🥳 BTW - this only applies to private meetings; channel meeting recordings are always stored in the associated channel folder within SharePoint - so no confusion over the location. #microsoftteams
This option will be very handy, I feel.
There shouldn’t be any issue in finding the recording… it’s right there in the meeting chat history and also in the meeting details page 👍 no need to go ferreting around peoples OneDrives trying to find it 😬
Marcos Zanré Carlos Augusto Jorge Marques esta funcionalidade será incrível para as próximas versões do Balcão Virtual e também das automações / integrações com o Bookings! Parabéns pessoal
Hope this doesn’t see a reduction in social interaction at start of meetings. I feel with more homeworkers these days that opening minutes of meetings are important for social well-being.
Yep agreed, only really an issue if the person who always joins meetings first leaves & their OneDrive content is deleted. Like the sound of ferreting around peoples OneDrives🤣
