Today marks twelve years since the Rana Plaza collapse in Dhaka, Bangladesh — a tragedy that claimed the lives of at least 1,138 garment workers and left thousands more injured. We remember and honour those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and all who continue to bear the physical and emotional aftermath of one of the deadliest industrial disasters in recent history. This day is a solemn reminder of the human cost of unsafe working conditions. The Accord, alongside its signatories, partners, and stakeholders, remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring safe and healthy workplaces for all garment and textile workers, where no one fears a building collapse or workplace accident. We encourage more brands to join the Accord and ensure worker health and safety in their supply chains. We’re committed to ensuring the people who make our clothing and equipment work in safe and fair conditions. As part of OSC, we recently joined two schemes to support our sourcing and production in Bangladesh. We’ve signed the International Accord, an initiative that promotes workplace health and safety through regular factory inspections and supports remediation efforts to protect workers. We’re also proud to support the Employment Injury Scheme (EIS) pilot, which aligns workplace injury benefits with international standards. This program is a vital step toward a permanent, sustainable safety net for garment workers in Bangladesh. #mountainequipment #livefortheline

📢 Pakistan Gains a Competitive Edge in U.S. Home Textile Exports The latest U.S. tariff update (July 31, 2025) has set Pakistan’s rate at 19%, compared to: 🇮🇳 India – 25% 🇻🇳 Vietnam – 20% 🇧🇩 Bangladesh – 20% 🇱🇰 Sri Lanka – 20% This means Pakistan’s home textiles, including towels and bed linen, now enter the U.S. at lower tariffs than many competitors, making our products more price-competitive. At Rainbow Industries, we combine this tariff advantage with: ✅ Full in-house production (weaving, dyeing, stitching, packing) ✅ Consistent premium quality ✅ Reliable lead times Now is the perfect time for U.S. buyers to strengthen sourcing from Pakistan and benefit from both quality and cost advantage. #Pakistan hashtag #HomeTextiles hashtag #Towels hashtag #BedLinen hashtag #Trade hashtag #Sourcing hashtag #RainbowIndustries

5moThe groundbreaking initiatives under both the International Accord and the Alliance have significantly transformed the workplace safety and security landscape, particularly in structural, fire, and electrical standards. These efforts could serve as a model for other sectors and the entire supply chain within the RMG sector. An actionable and inclusive strategy, with the government taking the lead, is crucial to ensure accountability and the sustainability of responsible labour administration and labour inspection bodies. Furthermore, the adoption of advanced technologies to address OSH risks is essential. However, it is equally important to address and manage technology-related OSH risks and hazards effectively.
