Instiglio’s Post

It’s a wrap for the International #RBFSeminar! We want to thank the organizing team, the panelists, and the attendees for making this event a productive and rich experience! Here are a few highlights from the second day: The ✨Morocco panel✨ underlined how results-based financing has: 🤝Helped create better synergies between finance and sectoral ministries 🧑 Strengthened the socioeconomic inclusion of hard-to-reach populations that require agile and flexible solutions 💹Instilled a culture of performance in Morocco’s employment programs beyond the RBF pilots In the ✨Africa panel✨, we heard about: ⚡The complementarity of the government effectiveness and evidence movements 📝The need for champions of change 🌍The move to diversify partnerships to include civil society and increase cross-country collaboration The last ✨ panel on lessons learned ✨ presented concrete technical learnings to inform future results-based programs, as well as testimonies of service providers involved in the program. “Before MCC we worked with employability, but only with what we called “positive exit,” which didn’t require insertion for the beneficiary or encouragement to find another job. The government didn’t necessarily pay us for any goal. After three years working with an RBF approach that at the beginning had a potential risk, I can say it was a success and quite a win for us” Check out today’s recording here: https://bit.ly/3HfhR1U
