I worked for Adorama in NYC remotely from Israel as the online reputation manager for 11+ years For 11+years we took no family break unless I could get good Internet. For 11 + years I worked til 3 or 4 in the morning, back on line at 7 or 8 AM Israel time. When my daughter was in hospital with blood poisoning, wired up to drips & her life in the balance, I sat by her bed answering emails from Adorama customers For 11+ years I did not take 1 day off sick nor paid holiday When my mum died, I arranged her funeral for 10:30 AM to be available to work by 9:00 am ET I answered complaints during wars with rockets going overhead; from the ER while my foot was being plastered; from bed when I had bronchitis. I was lied to repeatedly by the head of the used department & the Marketing Team; screamed at by the HR Director & humiliated by the CEO Barry Litwin I quit in April due to issues caused by work-related stress. Did they send a goodbye card when I left? Did anyone call on my last day? NO! My husband was laid off & tonight his colleagues took him for dinner. They bought him a nice bottle of whisky but more than that, they made a little book for him, with wonderful messages from the people he’d worked with across the globe over the past 9 years Am I bitter? You bet.

Helen, you are treasure and I hope you find a meaningful job that appreciates your loyalty and commitment!! Obviously, so many of us were thankful for your service and enjoyed interacting with you. Sorry to hear you went through so much trouble!! :(

Stop beating yourself up.

Back in the 1990's, I lived in the NYC area and visited B&H and sometimes also Adorama on a monthly basis. Back then I have had some minor issues with Adorama and therefore to this day I prefer their cross-town rival. Helen was the main reason I also order from Adorama once in a while. She was very helpful to me in a few occasions. I sure hope that Helen will find another career opportunity soon. Best wishes.

Thank you for your dedication to providing great customer service. It’s unfortunate Adorama does not recognize the loyalty and hard work. You were the reason why I shopped at Adorama. I guess I will be spending my money elsewhere.

Helen, you were the reason I kept returning to Adorama. You know me. I am the person that Adorama tried blocking and you would bat for me. I don't buy from them anymore. I stopped months ago. I don't miss Meyer at all. That man sure has an attitude for someone in sales. You were the reason I wanted to stay a shopper with them. I remember all of the time and effort you put into monitoring the photography message forums and keeping all of us customers satisfied. With you removed, I am removed. Adios Adorama. Keep us posted about your future, please.
