I recently tried Sora 2 with an invite code. Aside from copyright considerations, I find it remarkable. Some artistic details—such as AI-specific characteristics in eye illustrations—remain, but the realism for human depiction is already very high. With improvements in physical simulation and synchronized audio, Sora 2 has clear potential for practical applications, from architectural visualization and virtual try-on in e-commerce to cutting-edge research and production workflows. This feels like a meaningful step forward for how people will create and experience visual and audio content.

We often get approached by authors and content creators about creating original character designs and animations for their projects so they can sell them to a publishing house or media company. One piece of advice I always share is to hold onto your IP rights so you own them forever. The real long-term value isn’t in book sales or a board game— it’s in the characters, the merch and the licensing opportunities they create. The piece they’re trying to get made is really just the first step in building a larger brand and world around their characters.
