PwC's Mohamed Kande leads GLC panel on youth empowerment

With the support and expertise of Mohamed Kande, Global Chairman at PwC and Co-Chair of the Generation Unlimited Global Leadership Council (GLC), last week at the GLC panel, leaders from government, business, multilateral organisations and youth representatives from different sectors came together to discuss how shared commitments can be turned into action. They explored ways to equip young people with market-relevant skills for employment, create meaningful opportunities, and build sustainable livelihoods, empowering youth to become #WorkLifeReady. Together, we will continue advancing initiatives that provide youth with the skills, experiences and opportunities to thrive.

Last week in New York, I had the privilege of co-chairing Generation Unlimited’s Global Leadership Council meeting. The room was filled with energy and commitment – leaders coming together with the goal of creating more opportunity for young people. Generation Unlimited is making a real impact, reaching more than 44 million young people with skills and employment programs. That scale matters, because when young people have access to education and opportunity, lives and communities are transformed. Thank you to Catherine Russell, Executive Director at UNICEFKevin Frey, CEO, Generation UnlimitedChristian Klein, CEO, SAP; Hon. Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State for International Development, Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada; and Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, Director-General, Qatar Fund for Development for your leadership and partnership. And thanks to everyone who contributed to such an inspiring meeting. You can watch the GLC session here: https://lnkd.in/gGS_DfQU
