Once upon a time, some 435 years ago. The first Filipinos landed what is now the continental United State at Morro Bay – outside San Luis Obispo County in California. The Filipinos were brought here aboard a Spanish Galleon. The month of May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. We celebrate and honor our rich traditions and our vast contributions over the generations to make help make the United State a better place to live. Several weeks ago, Paul Tolme of Cascade Bicycle Club asked me if I wanted to be part of a CNBC special, celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month which will be aired during a Shepard Smith show. I immediately agreed. So last Saturday producer Bill Applegate and his film/sound crew met me and roughly 50 other riders at Magnuson Park. We rode to Gas Works Park where he interviewed me and others. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/gGUcFyGk
