As winter approaches in NYC, we teamed up with Breaking Ground (NYC Permanent Supportive Housing) to assemble winter weather kits for neighbors in need. Colleagues came together to pack scarves, hats, and gloves in hopes of providing warmth to others during these colder months. In the spirit of giving back, we’re also running a month-long toy and coat drive with New York Cares. Here's to spreading warmth and compassion throughout our communities!

Keeping Commerce Human means having our sellers’ backs and looking out for buyers. In support of this work, Etsy signed onto the Digital Fairness Pledge, a set of voluntary commitments created to protect buyers online, as part of the European Union’s Consumer Protection Pledge. “By signing this pledge, we’re helping to foster a safe, transparent, and human marketplace where our sellers and buyers come together to create and discover something special,” shared Jeffrey Zubricki, Head of Advocacy and Public Policy at Etsy. Small businesses are at the heart of everything we do at Etsy. Whether we’re advocating to policymakers on behalf of our seller community, or bringing them with us to the table, we work to ensure our sellers’ voices are heard. Etsy recently hosted a bipartisan group of women Senate staffers at our Brooklyn office, in partnership with Global Women's Innovation Network (GlobalWIN), for an opportunity to connect directly with Etsy sellers and gain firsthand insights into the impact legislation has on their lives. Several Etsy sellers joined Chief Operating Officer, Raina Moskowitz for insightful discussions on women in entrepreneurship, access to paid leave, childcare, and tax issues that affect small and micro businesses.
