Don’t let the “tyranny of distance” give adversaries the upper hand. In contested environments, adversaries will seek to disrupt communications by locating and jamming signals, requiring the US Army to have robust, secure, covert communications and anti-jamming capabilities. The U.S. Army faces a critical challenge in the immediate and near-future: the efficient modernization of existing systems to meet the demands of an ever-evolving threat landscape. Traditional methods to solve that challenge no longer suffice in a rapidly advancing technological era, which means the Army must embrace innovative approaches to ensure it remains agile, adaptable and ready for any potential engagement. https://lnkd.in/eCx23zDW

The U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) is designing the future force by developing integrated concepts and requirements, informed by experimentation, and synchronized into AFC and Army processes to drive persistent Army modernization. The vision for FCC is the establishment of a cutting edge and distributive center for the exploration of the future that is adept, adaptive, innovative, inquisitive, out of the box, technology enhanced, closely linked to the threat and technology communities and our Joint and Coalition partners and dedicated to examining the future operational environment to provide the Army with a path to the future. To accomplish this, FCC executes these core functions (Concepts, Experimentation, Requirements, and Integration), ensuring the Army can establish a modernization path to the Army needed 5 to 15 years into the future that can defeat all threats in the Future Operational Environment. #MavenScouts #USArmy #FutureConcepts

2023 was a busy year for the Army G-6 as it continued leading the implementation of the Army’s Unified Network Plan (AUNP). This included driving a cultural shift that involved the total force embracing and assimilating unified network concepts at all levels (tactical, operational, and strategic). Noting that command and control is foundational to how the Army operates, Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Randy George declared in October that “our number one priority when it comes to transformation is the network.” The unified network concept is now institutionalized through centralized delivery of services and other reforms that will give the Army end-to-end visibility of a secure and sustainable network that is integrated vertically (from the Pentagon to units in the field) and horizontally (connecting commands and units across the force). The unified network will allow the Army to operate simultaneously and seamlessly within its own forces, with the rest of the Department of Defense, and with coalition forces across all echelons and domains (land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace). #USArmySignalCorps #Signalcorps #USARMY @US_CYBERCOM @ARCYBER @armyfutures @Signal_School @US_CYBERCOM
