🎉 The EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology has launched a €5 million two-year support scheme for the New European #Bauhaus, the European Commission’s programme to bring a human dimension to the EU’s green deal. 🌱 It is anticipated that this scheme will provide financial support to entrepreneurs and projects, create and mobilise initiatives led by citizens, and provide entrepreneurship training. 🤖 Baltics & Slovakia ClimAccelerator 2022 programme is coming close to its end. 📸 Here’s a quick throwback to the closing event of Energy Efficiency Week 2022 taking place at the new premises of the RTU Science and Innovation Centre at the end of October. The annual hackathon Climathon'22 brings climate-friendly ideas to life. 🌱 👉This year at the new premises of the RTU Science and Innovation Centre, the organizers of Climathon'22 in Latvia hosted 20 teams with 86 participants who made an effort to seek solutions to the challenges proposed by Liepaja City Council, Riga Energy Agency (REA), Latvenergo AS and Elektrum.  🔎 The teams tried to take a fresh look at various energy-related issues like the development of energy communities, public involvement in achieving climate goals, the reduction of private transport emissions, the use of digital tools in the use of solar energy, as well as the comparison of the benefits and energy efficiency indicators of various alternative energy technologies. ⚡ The winning team of the hackathon SOLRITY proposed an idea of a mobile app that could potentially improve and facilitate the installation of solar panels by measuring the real benefits of using such panels with the help of data. 📱☀️ Thank you everyone for making this amazing event happen!  #climathon22 #innovation Climate-KIC Green Tech Cluster Latvia European Commission
