This is an important message from me, Ed Rosenberg; it is an apology about a crime that I am pleading guilty to. Please read it. For a time, some years ago, I began to obtain and use Amazon’s internal annotations—Amazon’s private property—to learn the reasons for sellers’ suspensions, in order to assist them in getting reinstated, if possible. On some occasions, I paid bribes, directly and indirectly, to Amazon employees to obtain annotations and reinstate suspended accounts. These actions were against the law. I should not have engaged in any of this conduct. I am sorry to have done these things. I very much regret doing them. I will be pleading guilty in federal court to a crime for this misconduct. I promise that I will not do this again. I strongly encourage all sellers and seller consultants to follow my lead on this. I understand that Amazon enforces its important Terms and Conditions to protect the integrity of the competitive marketplace and for the benefit of the public, consumers, and sellers alike. This is another reason I encourage all sellers and consultants to follow these important rules. No one should pay bribes to Amazon employees to provide private Amazon information. If it is apparent that internal information has been illegally leaked, no one should use it. Nor should anyone pay any Amazon employees for any other special favors regarding a seller’s account. This conduct is wrong and criminal. Persons who engage in this misconduct should expect criminal prosecution, which—as I well know—is a huge deal. In the course of this case, I have made some public statements about this prosecution and the indictment. Those statements are not accurate and I disavow those statements. if amazon made it easier to address the complaints they lodge against sellers, it would not be necessary to resort to extraordinary measures. perhaps it was illegal, but not unethical in my opinion.

It takes a strong man to own up to their mistakes Having known you for many years I know that anything you did was not nefarious or meant to hurt sellers or amazon (unlike what they are trying to portray you as) In fact your goal is always to help sellers especially ones that are being hurt by the amazon system for no good reason (thus helping the sellers and amazon) We all know know the zealotry and misguided approach ill informed prosecutors can take and you are likely a victim of that. Im sorry it had to end like this, i hope it will allow you to put this episode behind you and continue your important work
Dont worry ED as your reputation and tremendous following fighting advocating for the small seller for years without any issues is what counts and the public knows the truth , we live in a fake cancel culture political world that abuse of power is thriving for poweful government prosecutors, lobbysits with personal motives and to big to fight companies and false government big brother agendas where innocent people like you are wrongfully targeted all in the name of phony justice make believe crackdown where somebody has to be fall guy.Its time for oversight and regulation and no immunity for govt prosecution , as we see in n.y see the abuse of power by AG not based on holding up law but pure political agendas.The masses dont trust the authorities we trust you.
Ed Rosenberg - I have probably known you for close to 10 years now.... The good that you have done for the entire seller community over the years is/was remarkable! Tens of thousands of sellers have benefited directly from working with you, attending your events, and interacting on your various seller forums/groups. Your positive influence and sterling reputation between both sellers and Amazon, has affected Amazon policy that has benefited many millions of Amazon sellers both in the US and abroad. Keep doing your amazing work.
Much respect ed, and thank you for offering your time and wisdom to us all. You gave us time and insight, while also showing that you actually care. I thank you and the community thanks you, keep being an example.
Ed - I’ve known you for almost 30 years. You’ve ALWAYS put your friends and family before yourself and this is no different. The difference you’ve made in connecting tens of thousands of people, many who are actually competing with one another, is indescribable.
