Animation & Art / Creative Lead

Sadly, after nearly 7 years my time with Midwinter Entertainment has come to an abrupt end due to the studio closure. Midwinter has been an amazing place to work, with a group of amazingly talented, wonderful people, and appreciate my time here more than anything. With that being said, I guess I'm on the hunt for a new opportunity and next chapter of my career. While my background is in animation, the wonderful thing about being in a smaller studio is having the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and have a great impact across the board. My time at MW was exactly that, having performed as the principal animator, to lead animator, animation director duties, but also as an art lead, VFX lead, helping guide concept art, to character & environment art, narrative and also played heavily as a game designer across both player and enemy disciplines, while also being a lead on the npc team. And of course managing my wonderful people at MW, animators, vfx artists, tech artists and the likes. I love making games, my bag of tricks is fairly deep, and I am glad to have been able to exercise them all while at Midwinter. I am not sure what my next step will be, but I guess we will find out! If anyone is looking to fill a position, or has any leads, I would truly appreciate any support on that front. Thanks all! Daniel

Daniel you are a swiss army knife of creative leadership - animation lead doesn't begin to cover it. Always player focused, experience focused, thinking way beyond one discipline. Thanks for being the glue across so much, for bringing your depth of craft, attention to detail, eye on the big picture, and leadership to the team over the years. We're all the better for it. PSA: Hire Daniel - you will be soooo glad you did

I'm sorry to read this. Even though I only spent a few months working with you, your energy, kindness, trust and "swiss army knife" capabilities made working with you one of my best experiences in the industry. Wishing you the best for what's next.
