In my career as in healthcare, I have learned first hand how important it is in the situation whenever we're in a situation of of needing any kind of healthcare, how important it is to feel normal and capable. And I think that it's it's just ironic to me that when a person who has a pre-existing condition. Like mine that I was born with or like cancer that they overcame. It is, it is a slap in the face to realize that you are denied private insurance even if you wanted it. So I, I feel like this is something that we just don't understand. It's not, you know, it's like we just don't know it until we are in that situation. And I'll say in my kind of now middle, middle-aged years, this is the main topic of conversation. With my friends and my peers is about how do we what do we want? How can we manage this care of our parents? What's happening now the latest with with our senior parents and and what are what are we going to do about it? We share, I share this actually across a broad group of friends so that we can learn from each other. But it really is too bad that it takes to until getting to this age of realizing that you that we have to think about it that we have to do. Something about it and then Medicare is not going to cover it. No, absolutely not. I walk here is is is a program that will be extremely beneficial when the first benefits payout and only two years it's going to be available to people. I am definitely voting this initiative down. I want to see walkers come to fruition and I believe that this is hugely important public program for the for Washingtonians.
