With a long career in the Technology and Art industries; this has led to successes with our brand-enhancing Art+Tech Summit series as well as business-building collaborations such as the Proto Hologram which recently showcased Degas’ Petite Danseuse and Alberto Giacometti's Femme qui Marche around the world.
Today we are also announcing that LayerZero Labs, an emerging Web3.0 company with a strong vision and business model that unites decentralized applications across disparate blockchains, will become our first portfolio company.

Christie's are pleased to announce our H1 2022 results of £3.3 Bn / $4.1 Bn; surpassing our H1 2021 total (+34% in GBP/ +18% in USD) and the best performance since 2015.
Highlights include;
• Andy Warhol’s ‘Shot Sage Blue Marilyn’ for $195M, the most expensive 20th Century artwork ever sold
• Average sell-through rate of 87% across all Christie’s auctions
• 30% of all buyers in H1 are new to Christie’s, and 34% of these new buyers are millennials
• Philanthropic sales raise nearly $440Mn
• Meaningful progress towards our sustainability goals; including SBTi validation of our commitment to reduce our carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, and the launch of a sea freight container service with partner Crozier as a more sustainable alternative to air shipments

The Christie’s Running Club returned yesterday for their fourth run in honour of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
Colleagues in London braved the heat as they ran from King Street, around St. James’s square, St James’s Park, Green Park, and finally back to King Street. They were greeted on their return with celebratory breakfast in the sun on the King Street roof terrace.
Everyone who takes part in the Running Club submits a donation going toward providing specialist nurses and support to seriously ill children across the UK.

Joaillerie Paris Sale totals €9,3 million, almost doubling its presale estimate. The top lot of the auction, this rare Van Cleef & Arpels Zip necklace, which set a new world auction record.
Featuring rubies and diamonds, the necklace was sold for €819,000, more than four times its presale estimate. A true masterpiece of ingenuity perfectly illustrating the company’s legendary craftsmanship.

Christie’s Valuable Books and Manuscripts live auction on 13 July will present a collection of 15 drawings by Sir Quentin Blake, sold to benefit Comic Relief.
Money raised through the auction will help Comic Relief support vital life changing work, tackling issues including homelessness, domestic abuse, poverty and mental health problems in the UK and around the world.

On 7 July, Antonio Canova’s Recumbent Magdalene, the long-lost masterpiece, will be offered in the Old Masters Evening Sale in London. It is one of the sculptor’s last works, commissioned in 1819 and completed just weeks before his death in 1822.
