Child Nutrition Fund’s Post

Every child deserves a chance to thrive, but millions are still held back by stunting, wasting, and anaemia. The Child Nutrition Fund (CNF) is a completely new way to fight child undernutrition. Unlike reactive funding models, CNF works proactively, coordinating global investments to ensure high-impact nutrition actions are fully funded, efficiently delivered, and sustainable. By combining international donor contributions with domestic investments, CNF doubles the impact of every dollar, empowers local manufacturers, and makes life-saving nutrition reach children and women faster and at lower cost. From September 2025, CNF will match contributions up to US$500 million, doubling the impact for children and women—helping transform lives for up to US$1 billion.    Led by UNICEF and supported by visionary partners—including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Gates Foundation, and Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF)—unites donors, governments, and strategic partners to reach millions of children and women with life-changing nutrition. 💭 Rethinking philanthropy: from dependency to direct impact 📌 As western aid recedes, african philanthropy faces a defining moment. during the africa ceo forum, Gbenga Oyebode, chairman of the Africa philanthropy forum, argued that this new era calls for a structural rethink — not just efficiency. 💬 “It’s time to fund proximate organisations directly — those on the ground, who know their communities and can act faster than anyone else.” 📈 With rising local wealth and growing impact investment, africa’s giving culture is evolving from dependency to empowerment. 🔓 Governments, philanthropists and private foundations must now collaborate to unlock home-grown solutions — where african capital drives african development. #ACF #AfricaCEOforum

One hundred young leaders from across the Philippines joined our Champions for Peace training on resilience and social cohesion, the first milestone in our three-year programme with KRIS for Peace! The programme aims to empower young people to address pressing issues in their communities and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable future.    Their ideas are now coming to life through five youth-led projects tackling local challenges — from mental health support and community reintegration to flood resilience and civic engagement.   Next stop: Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia! 🌏   Together with KRIS for Peace and in partnership with the Temasek Foundation, Nagulendran Philanthropy Alliance, and the Diana Koh Fund, administered by the Asia Community Foundation, we’re building a regional platform for youth-led action on resilience and peace in Southeast Asia.   Learn more about the journey so far here ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/e5YPXSrN   #ChampionsForPeace #YouthLeadership

Mosun Layode, Executive Director of the African Philanthropy Forum (APF), brought the message home when she said: "What is concerning is the statistics we're hearing, so how are we really investing our resources. Are we investing these resources in the best way possible? You can invest in all these areas all you want, but if you don't invest in the foundation issues, we'll continue to have a problem." She delivered these remarks at the Strategic Dinner Convening during the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit, themed Investing in Africa’s Foundations: African Philanthropy for Foundational Learning, co-convened by Human Capital Africa, the African Philanthropy Forum, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), and the Aliko Dangote Foundation, she underscored the urgency for smarter, more strategic investments in Africa’s education systems. Her message was clear: to transform education for every child, Africa must start by fixing the foundations and financing what is proven to work.
