👏 A powerful snapshot of progress – and a shared commitment we are proud to be part of. As a founding partner of the Child Nutrition Fund, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) has been instrumental in enabling a bold new model for nutrition financing – one that empowers governments to lead and scale what works. Together, we’re financing life-saving nutrition for children and unlocking sustainable pathways to end undernutrition in high-need countries. Read the CIFF 2024 Annual Report 👇
When a child has the right nutrition, the positive impacts have rippling effects across health, education, social and economic outcomes. Today, nearly half of all deaths in children under five are linked to undernutrition which is a crisis further intensified by economic insecurity and climate change. Yet, the goal of eliminating child malnutrition is within our grasp. Throughout 2024, our partners worked to accelerate progress and drive meaningful change: ➡️ The UNICEF-led Child Nutrition Fund (CNF) continued to drive crucial domestic investments in tackling malnutrition. In 2024, the CNF matched an additional $27.5 million in government funding, doubling the value of nutrition commodities purchased and enabling life-saving Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) to reach children with severe acute malnutrition in over 15 countries across Africa and Asia. ➡️ In partnership with the Gates Foundation, the Eleanor Crook Foundation and Kirk Humanitarian, we launched a global investment roadmap to catalyse action and investment in MMS for pregnant women. This roadmap outlines a plan to reach at least 260 million women in 45 high-burden countries with MMS over seven years. ➡️ The Africa Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) significantly expanded its efforts to institutionalise accountability and track health and nutrition progress at the community level across 14 African countries. In 2024, these countries collectively invested over $78 million based on ALMA's scorecard recommendations, improving health and nutrition service delivery across the continent. 1moI agree that When a child has the right nutrition, the positive impacts have rippling effects across health! However, why this beautiful child (front page) couldn’t be shown with natural food than a Therapeutic food? And right nutrition is not a therapeutic feeding
