Last week at University of Oxford , I got a chance to attend a fully funded course on Effective Altruism run by Leaf and it was the most transformative experience to say the least. There were participants from the UK and around the world attending lectures on tackling existential risks like Climate Change, AI Security, Nuclear Wars & Bio risks and how to do the "most" good in this world. We learnt the SNT ( Scale, Neglectedness & Tractability ) framework for finding out the most important problems of our time & developing sustainable solutions on them. But along with getting transformed intellectually, I was also touched by the heartwarming sense of #EAcommunity in the campus. From making life long friends by exploring the local shops & riverside greenhouses to feeling welcomed in a new country, Leaf was one of the best intellectual & social experiences I have had.
