November is Military Family Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and honor the sacrifices and contributions of service members, veterans, and military families. It is often said that service members are the backbone of the nation. If so, then the backbone of service members are their families. To better support military families, the Department of Defense has launched a 2023 National Veterans and Military Families Month landing page on Military One Source. The page displays a wide range of resources and support for military families and transitioning veterans. It includes information about parenting, adoption and foster care, relationships, caring for a family member with special needs, financial support, spouse employment, resources for Gold Star and surviving family members, and consultations for transitioning veterans.
