What are start-ups like Glints, Carro and Qashier doing differently? I was surprised to learn that they are using Lark. As a former VC, I was constantly evaluating B2B SaaS and tools that drive efficiency and collaboration and help build high performing teams. I fondly remember my time as an intern at ByteDance which exposed me to Lark and I was struck by how effectively it addresses the shortcomings of consumer-focused messaging apps in a professional setting. While WhatsApp is great for keeping in touch with friends and family, it has limitations in faciitating team communication and project management. WhatsApp simply wasn't built for that – it lacks the robust features, integrations, and security that modern teams require. One example is how the Whatsapp desktop app is way slower as it loads messages by syncing to the phone. Lark, on the other hand, impressed me with its comprehensive approach. It easily integrates communication, project management, and productivity tools within a single, intuitive platform. This streamlined experience was a game-changer at ByteDance, especially in a fast-paced, global environment. I could respond quickly to teammates from different timezones and collaborate on documents all through the Lark app. Choosing the right communication and collaboration platform when you start a company is probably one of the most essential thing to get right. The business case for such platforms tend to be the stickiness and inertia to move to a new one once teams have been built around it. Whether you are a fast growing venture backed startup or a VC, I totally recommend you check out Lark! Several funds such as Plug and Play Tech Center, DSG Consumer Partners and Monk's Hill Ventures are proud partners of Lark as well. I don’t believe we should compare Whats’App and Lark. A more accurate comparison would be Slack vs. Lark - 2 Projects Management/Collaboration Suite that all serious start-ups are using
I was one of the first users of Lark back during Covid. Their growth as a product is nothing short of amazing!
We have been using Discord for 5 years. Didn't pay a cent, all chat history from the start is there. Team loves it...
Wow! Can’t wait to try this out for my company Adriel Yong 👋🏻
Love it
Awesome product
We were using Lark during 2019 - 2021 at www.ninjaos.com too.
I'm a huge Slack to Lark convert, everything from running team meetings to writing executive docs and day to day comms all happens on Lark for us. It needed a little getting used to on the UI front initially but now I can't go a day without it!
