I'm shocked and disappointed that a great outdoors brand, The North Face Brand, refused to sell Innovex 400 Jackets because we are in the Oil and Gas Industry. Oil and gas companies used excess byproducts to cause the plastics boom. Which isn't a good thing at all. Oil and gas companies have been know to propagate climate change denial through misinformation campaigns and buying politicians. Unsustainable oil and gas industry practices is the issue.

Do I agree with a large brand that is highly used in the Oil and Gas Sector refusing a very large order in the middle of a economic down turn, and pandemic from a oil and gas company, because: ... “They told us we did not meet their brand standards,” Anderson said. “We were separately informed that what that really meant is was that we were an oil and gas company."..... No, I do not agree at all. Is it their right to refuse service, 100%. Just like its my right to add them to my " DO NOT SHOP" list along with Lush, and other businesses that follow the same narrative as well as share the message that North Face is sending to all my Oil and Gas Friends and Family so they have the option to make the choice them selves. #oilandgas #oil #brand #share #like #energy

I wonder how they get their materials for manufacturing or how do they ship out their products to Retail Outlets? Doesn't that get transported in a truck that uses diesel, or by Rail that uses diesel. How do they themselves get to work every day, by bus, by cab, by car? Talk about hypocrites!!!
I believe Mr Anderson hit the nail on the head in the first sentence of his second paragraph. I honestly believe there are groups and companies out there who want humans to NOT flourish. Their motives are rotten and anti-human to the core and this sets the agenda for all of their activism and virtue signaling.

The North Face, a VF Company I regret buying my three children North Face jackets and gloves right before learning of your position toward the oil and gas industry. Have you read the tags in your jackets lately? Polyester. Know where that comes from? Oil and gas. Disappointed that a company with a great product decides to hypocrically virtue signal. My kids will outgrow the jackets in a couple of years, and we will move on to a brand that values the contributions oil and gas makes to the quality of life of North Face employees.
