Work sharing makes it possible for multiple users to access and make changes to a single Revit file all at the same time. With BIM Collaborate Pro, part of the Autodesk construction cloud, you can collaborate using cloud work sharing much like you would on your local area network. Hi, I'm Paul F Aubin longtime author and architectural consultant. And I'd like to welcome you to this course where I'll help you get started using BIM Collaborate Pro, Revit Cloud work sharing, and even a little bit of Civil 3D. BIM Collaborate Pro allows you and your coworkers to store your Revit central model in the cloud, and yet work on it as if it was stored right there on your local server. This makes it easy for firms with distributed teams across multiple physical locations to work together seamlessly. Furthermore, BIM Collaborate Pro leverages several modules within the Autodesk Construction Cloud, and supports many file formats, such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and many more. This makes it easy for you to share your Revit models, and other associated project files with all stakeholders, both those using Revit and those that don't. This includes internal users, clients, and external consultants. Now there is a lot to configure, but don't let the setup intimidate you. I'm here to show you that after the preliminary configuration, the use of these powerful tools will seamlessly integrate into your everyday workflow.
