In the role of the IT Service Desk Team member you are responsible for providing an efficient and effective 1st and 2nd line of support. This includes the handling of, and communication surrounding, IT related support requests, including incidents, problems and changes, by acting as the initial communication partner with local IT.
Primary areas of responsibility
Receive and execute incidents and change requests from the local IT organizations according to the agreed upon service level agreements.
Track and document incidents in the ITSM tool.
Forward and track requests to parties outside of the service desk team (3rd level support).
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall service processes and the service desk tool including incident, problem, configuration and change management.
Systems credentials management, and all-round 2nd line IT Support
Candidate Profile
You are first and foremost a technology enthusiast.
You love tinkering with operating systems, applications, and computer hardware.
Most likely, you've been programming or assembling computers since childhood.
You might refer to yourself as an IT geek, and some people might disparagingly label you a nerd - nevermind those people: you will be among peers here.
Ofcourse, you have a (virtualized) home lab.
You are service-minded and professional, and love solving complex technical problems for others.
Your medium to long-term (1-2 years) goal is to grow into a System or Network Administrator role.
Graduates with at least 1 year of experience in a professional environment preferred, but smart and energetic autodidacts are also welcome.
