ARTMS is a rethink of what we know as a wheel chair developed throughout the Spring 2015 semester at Carnegie Mellon University. Personal experience with conventional wheel chairs revealed numerous key areas for improvement: difficulty in mid range mobility (0.5 - 10 miles) inefficient propulsion, and social stigma resulting from physical positioning. Via a small scale illustrative prototype, as well as feasibility documentation, we hope to accelerate the development of this idea and improve the lives of the millions of users we found in our market research who needlessly are living life as second class citizens.

As team captain, I chose and managed a group of students in an Introduction to Entrepreneurship class. We were given $125 in initial capital and three weeks to make as much money as possible. My group raised the most money ($5,000) out of all of the groups, and won the class competition (prize: $12,000).
