The GTM playbook we've used in B2B over the last 15 years is breaking down. It was based on a two-motion model: 1) Connect and 2) Convert. All of the technology, processes, and infrastructure were built to get really good and efficient at this one-two motion. This old model doesn't work anymore though. Why? ❌ Everyone is doing it. Being great at the blocking and tackling part of B2B marketing is no longer an advantage. 💴 This model requires catching prospects when they already have purchase intent...but 👇 🚫 95% of buyers are not in-market. They aren't buying software. And your GTM engine is built around 1) Want a Demo? 2) Buy Now We are advocating for a new model that emphasizes four motions instead of two: 1) Connect 2) ENGAGE 3) Convert 4) EXPAND. The big shift in perspective is connecting with a prospect BEFORE they have purchase intent. 🔸 Engage them with valuable content and strong POV, and by doing so, establish vendor preference. 🔹 Then, when they have purchase intent, you are already at the top of the list. 📈 The EXPAND motion focuses on account acceleration, growth, and increased CLV.
