Summary

Important: If you know me, please contact me using my personal email/facebook/phone. My linkedin email is my junk email, and I will be much slower to respond/may miss your message.

Passionate about using technology to improve the world (focused on internet technologies and social networks) and working with/building teams of smart people excited by the common challenge of interesting problems.

At home in the 0-60 stage of building products and teams from scratch and scaling them. Started the Financial Products engineering division at PayPal, scaling up to an international development team across three locations.

Excited about the direction of social networks as a disruptive force across many industries, especially activism/philanthropy.

A preview of what LinkedIn members have to say about Naseem:

  • I have worked with Naseem in various capacity, first directly under him as an engineering lead and later as a peer in the technical product management role. Naseem is very thorough and extremely sharp in everything he does. There is always a method to his approach. Above all his best characteristic is that he puts people first before everything else which means his staff comes first always. It is been a while since he has left eBAY but we are still good friends and that says a lot about his character.
  • I worked with Naseem both as a senior engineer/architect and as an engineering manager. As an architect, he showed brilliant design skills and intense dedication, working harder than any other engineer I worked with at PayPal to ensure a high quality product, even where long hours were needed to meet the (absurd) deadlines required. As a manager, he both acted as a mentor/leader who trained and grew his team members and a 'core' manager who fought for his team's resource needs and the importance of the projects that my team product-managed. He was, in both roles, an excellent partner and one of the highest potential individuals I have ever worked with. Naseem is someone who I can endorse wholeheartedly and without reservations.
