CDCs, or Community Development Corporations, have a rich history of addressing economic and social challenges in disinvested neighborhoods. Over time, these organizations have evolved from informal grassroots groups to highly structured nonprofits, gaining better access to funding and recognition. In some locations, access to funding and recognition has become tied to these organizations’ certifying as community development corporations (CDCs). The Community Resilience Partnership is announcing its most significant round of grant funding ever. Service Provider Grants support service provider organizations in assisting communities with climate action, energy, and resilience planning. In Fall 2024, a new grant opportunity for Service Providers is being offered this round. There are now two Service Provider Grant Tracks: ➡️ Track 1 Community Enrollment Service Provider Grants enable organizations to assist two to five Communities to prepare for and enroll in the Community Resilience Partnership and then apply for grant funds to undertake priority climate and energy projects. ➡️ Track 2 Community Vulnerability Assessment Service Provider Grants enable organizations to assist two to five enrolled/enrolling Communities to complete community vulnerability assessments that identify vulnerable community members, infrastructure, and assets, and then utilize that data to further prioritize climate action projects and apply for grant funds.
