Head of PR at Khosla Ventures backed mobile startup Everalbum. Prior to this, I was the second PR hire at LinkedIn.
Everything I learned about comms, I learned during my five years at LinkedIn. From 2006, when I first got to know our founding team to our successful IPO in 2011, our users grew from 10 million to over 200 million and our employees from less than 100 to over 4000!
Khosla Ventures backed Everalbum's first PR lead, building all aspects of comms, from corporate & product comms to social media, brand & influencer outreach.
• TechCrunch: "Everalbum is ambitiously challenging the big guys – like Google, Apple, Facebook"
• Business Insider: "Everalbum is a quietly successful app that's taking on Google and Dropbox"
• Venture Beat: "Everalbum launches an Android version to take on Google"
• Mashable: "5 can't-miss apps: Everalbum, Peach, Being and more"
• The Next Web: "As a curator of online photos, Everalbum is superior to most others"
As LinkedIn's 2nd PR and Marketing hire, worked on critical projects across communications, content and community that built our formative brand and voice.
• Built and ran key relationships with leading tech journalists in the US, leading to consistent product communications coverage
• Chief editor of LinkedIn's communications content strategy, including the corporate blog, and all social media properties from day one to our IPO
• LinkedIn's early spokesperson, representing the brand at major events like SXSW Interactive; also hosting LinkedIn’s first Tech Talk, user and developer outreach events

A preview of what LinkedIn members have to say about Mario:
I had the pleasure of attending Mario's panel at SXSW in March 2008, "The Future of Corporate Blogs." Mario represented LinkedIn quite effectively, and he was in good company: Lionel Menchaca, Dell's Chief Blogger, was one of his co-panelists.
I thought Mario did a great job of explaining how it was necessary, before starting the blog, to identify the problem that LinkedIn was trying to solve. Having identified the problem, the company could then be more effective and creative in how they solved it.
You can read my write-up of his panel on my blog:

I highly recommend Mario as a public speaker and representative of LinkedIn. The company should be proud that they have such a talented individual in the role of Community Evangelist.
Mario did a presentation at our 2008 Las Vegas Conference. His presentation focused on using LinkedIn in business environments. I enjoyed the content, he was very knowledgeable of the system and was able to answer many of my questions. The presentation provided better detail into the application of LinkedIn and how it could be utilized for more than just a social networking site. In my humble opinion...well done!
