When I last wrote about AQR's machine-learning efforts back in April, I devoted a few short paragraphs to Bryan Kelly's contentious "Virtue of Complexity" paper. And now with all the critiques that paper has drawn, I've written a whole piece about the debate. It's *intensely* nerdy but it gets at the broader question about how machine learning can be applied to quant strategies. (Gift link in comment)
