I was able to attend BSides Leeds over the weekend and out of the many fantastic sessions, one from Christian Bortone really stood out to me as it was how to abuse Azure Arc, specifically by using the onboarding options available via GPO. Over the weekend I renewed my Azure Security Engineer Associate cert and it reminded me of something I really value about Azure cert material - that it is well-rounded. We all have seen certs that are clearly just a money-grab and carry very little educational value. While opinions vary on whether certs are worth their weight (I advocate that they are), there's no denying that Microsoft provides solid well-structured content that allows you to stack skills (whether you pay for the cert or not). I think the Azure learn content is as close to "RTFM" as you can get, while not boring yourself to death. #azure #cloud #cloudsecurity

I’ve included case studies for my Azure Architect (AZ-305) and Azure Security (AZ-500) courses. It takes extra time, but I know it is worth it. They're coming to my Azure Admin (AZ-104) course soon too, along with lots of updates and extras, at https://learn.cloudlee.io and https://learn.cantrill.io. This helps you gain experience designing, securing, and administering solutions based on real requirements. Practice applying your knowledge. Its that time of the month again when Microsoft releases its patches, there are a number of critical updates this month and a few service stack updates at OS level worth looking at and deploying. As always recommend testing prior to deployment. If you want to discuss methods of deployment of patching then drop me a note. Not saying being doing this a long time but used to get patches for systems on tape (not ticker).
