“Others have covered Jim's skills, but I'd like to focus on a couple of other things. First, Jim's a 10x guy. By that I mean that in my experience there are people in technical fields that aren't say 20% better or faster than their colleagues, they're an order of magnitude better. Jim's one of those guys. I've seen Jim work overnight on a problem that would have taken others weeks to resolve. Second, Jim has insights about where technology is headed that in hindsight were incredibly prescient. I worked with Jim at Wayport when few people knew that WiFi even existed. He correctly predicted that in the near future WiFi would be ubiquitous and free and asked the question about what Wayport should be doing to position itself for that future. Jim has my highest recommendation.”
