    The Mandi Schwartz foundation was started in honor of Yale Women's Ice Hockey player Mandi Schwartz, who lost her two year battle with cancer in April 2011. The foundation is dedicated to raising funds to support similarly situated athletes and to raising awareness of the need for bone marrow donors and umbilical cord blood donors.

    In recent years, the "White Out" game, a fundraising event and hockey game hosted at Yale, has raised over $11,000 for The Mandi Schwartz Foundation Fund.
