    I was a journalism major with a minor in Afro-American Studies. I became the first African American editor-in-chief of the campus' daily student newspaper, the Diamondback, in 1990.

    Selected as a John S. Knight Fellow for 2005-2006. I studied with Dr. Clayborne Carson, a Stanford history professor and director of the Martin Luther King Research and Education Institute.

Was responsible for the management of a multi-million company, which published the university's daily student newspaper, The Diamondback, and the school's yearbook, The Terrapin.
