I love what I do. I make business owners profitable, and I put more cash in their bank accounts to help them grow their companies. To me that’s fun.

I am the CEO and founding partner of Ignite Spot Outsourced Accounting Services. At the core of what we do, I truly want our clients to grow (Ignite) because they have a stellar accounting solution with us. I want them to see increased profits, more cash in the bank, and a clearer picture of what lies ahead. In short, our company manta sums up how we feel.

Before I started the company, I worked as an auditor focusing on governmental projects and SEC companies. I was sitting in my office one day auditing a company out of Salt Lake City, Utah when I realized that they had $50,000 less cash than their accountant had reported. I remember the day that I told the CEO. The shock of the news nearly destroyed him. I went home that night amazed that so many businesses I had audited were trying to function on such poor accounting support. After so many discussions like that, I decided to leave the CPA firm I was working for and address the issues that I had discovered.

Ignite Spot was started out of my home, and due to the wonderful response from our clients around the country, we are now a nationwide brand and franchise. We are also one of the largest outsourced accounting departments in the country. We have our clients to thank for that, and we will never forget it.

Outside of work, I love jeeping. If I’m ever on vacation, I'm always in Moab driving on the rocks. In addition, I've written a book called The 8-Week Startup, seen the greatest castles in Wales and England, and my favorite ride at Disneyland is The Haunted Mansion.
