Whew - Just wrapped up an intense 4-day Technology & Innovation summit with Forrester. Lots to process, but here are some key personal takeaways: 1. I am exceptional at noticing details and bringing them to others' attention to explore what they mean. A valuable skill as a marketing & UX researcher. And sometimes also good for a laugh. In Austin this manifested as noticing the incredible absence of bird poo on the sidewalk in spite of good tree cover. How do they keep the streets so spotless? 2. Embracing a bit of wild[west]ness recharged me. Dancing in a piano bar was soul-nourishing. Cheekily requesting a *drum* solo on Benny Goodman's "Sing Sing Sing" from the backup drummer, and busting out some swing dancing moves was the highlight! 3. Professionally, I left feeling I truly *belong* at tech summits. Despite not having a data science nor engineering background, I found my voice and expertise validated. Understanding users and aligning tech with business goals were key topics - and those are my superpowers! Competition is healthy. Touting your unique value and calling out a competitor's weakness is a great way to win at the sport of business. But when you resort to outright misinformation and posting falsehoods about your competition, you lose credibility and show your true intent and lack of values. The good news is that if you're the target of a misinformation campaign and you've be clear and transparent with your audience all along, that makes you stronger. Both in the eyes of your addressable audience (prospects), existing clients and your more principled competitors. Glad to see Wunderkind reminding the market what we stand for and how we do business.

Looking to learn more about AI for Marketing? I truly enjoyed this AI Marketing course taught by Michael DeNunzio, Peter Monk and friends. The content shared was super informative. Not only did I learn about AI best practices, I learned which AI tools are most effective for each marketing function to how to work with them most efficiently, effectively and immediately. I highly recommend. And, now I am happy to say I am AI Marketing certified!
