How can you prevent session hijacking with HTML scripting?
In my experience it is not enough to sanitize the input. That part is mandatory. The application needs to be able to prevent Bruteforce attacks on sessions/cookies. The session string also needs the maximum amount of entropy the system can provide, in order to pose a greater surface for any attacker. Last but not least you need to prevent timing/hijacking attacks on the session cookie storage on the server side. Either by binding the session to the respective ip, or using some kind of aggresive session timeout algorithm.
