One of my favorite tools for coaching, I learned in the Master of Science in Learning & Organizational Change at Northwestern University ELOCC Executive Coaching Certification program. It's call the Gibb's Reflective Cycle. 💫 It's a tool I use after each client session to make meaning of our session. 〰 What happened? 〰 What were they feeling and thinking? 〰 What was I feeling and thinking? 〰 What was good or bad about it? 〰 What sense could I make of it all? **** this is the magic step 〰 What else could I have done? 〰 What would I do if this happened again? The process of writing, actually helps me make more meaning of the full interaction. Sometimes, it surprises me what I realize upon summarizing.
