    The role was one of Network Administration/Desktop Support, reporting directly to the Systems Administrator. The role involved support of the entire network throughout the head offices, and other smaller sites. There were approximately 300 users being support by the systems administrator and myself. The network consisted of a wide variety of different technologies, varying protocols and a very large and varied interaction of network hardware and software.
    Designed and constructed a wide-area network connecting satellite offices to corporate headquarters.
    Configured routers, firewalls, domain name services, e-mail, Web, and ftp services.
    Oversaw setup of servers and desktop workstations

  • Technical Support, Network Administration

    Datacom Connect, Sydney
    (2 years 1 month)

    This position supported all users of Microsoft Operating Systems throughout Australia and surrounding countries. I was required to diagnose, identify and resolve specific Operating System issues that could not be resolved by the first level technicians. I was responsible for solving issues with all Microsoft Operating Systems and reported directly to the Operating Systems team leader.
    I was required to answer approximately 10 calls a day, with a 99% success rate of solving the customer's issues.
