Group Rules

The Rules –

1)   Companies and organizations are not allowed to join - individual members of these groups may join as members instead.

2)   If you don’t display your surname you will not be accepted - check your Linkedin settings if an update is needed.

3)   The discussion area is for meaningful  discussions related to NFPA codes and standards or advocacy initiatives ONLY.  No viral marketing or spam in the discussing area please.  NO ADVERTISING - the Group members have made it clear they don't want ANY advertising in the discussions area.

4) The promotion area is where your advertisements should be posted – feel free to promote your company, product or even yourself. 

5) If you are looking for a new job or a new employee, make use of the Jobs tab ONLY.

Remember, following the NFPA LinkedIn Group anti-commercialism policy, no commercial promotion discussion posts are allowed.  If it's not something you would say at an Professional meeting or write as a letter to the editor of a Professional Journal, it's likely inappropriate.  If you make a habit of making promotional discussion posts, or making discussion posts just to shake out potential customers for private contact, you will be removed from the group.
