Welcome to Linked:HR – the largest single profession group on LinkedIn! We look forward to meeting you and hearing your thoughts on a wide variety of topics related to Human Resources (HR). The group is meant to provide members with a virtual place to meet, interact and share ideas with each other. For the benefit of our nearly 1m members, there are a few guidelines we hope will result in a pleasant experience for all. • participate, Participate, PARTICIPATE! There are lots of ways you can do this: Liking posts, commenting on posts & submitting new conversations • Please ensure that you only post items that clearly relate to Human Resources • Be kind, polite, respectful, professional, and constructive There are a few types of postings that are not accepted including: • Not in English • Not clearly related to Human Resources • Jobs – because this is not a job board • We do not allow promotions, blogs, Pulse articles and similar content. Basically, we delete anything with an external link in order to keep the group spam free and ensure that external links don’t take people away from the group • Postings that contain non-standard characters such as hashtags (#) • Non-HR related content e.g. networking invites, introductions, job requests • Unauthorized polls, surveys, or research • Content that infringes on intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties RULES ENFORCEMENT Group Management reserves the right to monitor postings and delete inappropriate ones without notice. Recent changes to LinkedIn group management require us to remove postings after they are submitted (rather than before). When we see content that does not meet our rules, we look closely at the person who wrote the post. If they do not meet membership criteria they will be removed from the group. We also remove people who • Submit an egregiously inappropriate posting • Post inappropriate postings more than once • Spam or harass members Please note: LinkedIn group membership is limited to one million. Every week we receive thousands of requests to join. Being strict helps us to stay within the limit. If someone meets our membership requirements but posts content we judge inappropriate, we put them on moderation. This means any future postings (including comments) are put in a moderation queue for review and do not show immediately on group discussions. Continued submission of inappropriate posts may result in removal from the group. SUCCESSFUL CONVERSATIONS Conversations are self-contained questions/ideas that invite members to respond but do not require clicking on external links. The most successful conversations start with a short question in the title followed by additional background or supportive information. RULES EXCEPTION Group Management can post links to materials such as white papers, audio/video recordings, events, surveys, affiliated social networking groups, products or services of interest to group members.
