The group management reserves the right to suspend/expel users and remove posts that do not observe the rules set out below. ** Discussions must be written in English to give all members the opportunity to understand the content. ** Promotions and jobs must be written in English or in Dutch depending on the target group. ** Please post promotions as promotions and jobs as jobs. It makes the site more readable for everyone. ** Do not continually repost. Once is enough. ** Posts for expanding your own personal network will be removed. Example: "Please join my network". ** Self-promotion is not allowed (holiday/religious greetings, personal introductions, etc.). ** When you have any successful outcome through participating in the group - let everyone know about it by posting your results. DISCUSSIONS ** Discussions are questions/ideas that invite member responses related to professions in the UvA Software Engineering group. ** No religious or political discussions are allowed except if they relate to the professions in the field of Software Engineering. PROMOTIONS ** Do not promote a product or service (commercial, paid or free) blog or website, free download, a LinkedIn Group or other social networking community, or a survey. Do not promote an event not associated with the field of Software Engineering. Some promotional posts are allowed; please contact the group management for approval. JOBS ** The jobs section is for jobs posted by alumni or staff. Resume writing services, commission only employment or jobs that require any kind of payment by a job hunter are prohibited. ** Jobs are actual job opportunities. ** Job listings must include a description and business email. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, or any other email addresses are not acceptable; a business email must be provided. ** You may use the job section for announcing you are looking for a Job. ** Always indicate clearly in the title if a job post concerns a job opportunity or a job search. INAPPROPRIATE POSTINGS ** Not in English or in Dutch. ** Harassing, abusive, or threatening. ** Attacking individuals or groups. ** Derogatory, unprofessional, or disrespectful. ** Harmful to minors, obscene/pornographic, objectionable, or in violation of any Dutch law. ** Infringing on intellectual property, privacy or other rights of third parties. ** Multi-level marketing or other pyramid scheme offers; Scams will not be tolerated. If you spot a scam - report it to the group management. That person will be removed from the group. ** Non actual jobs. ** Jobs that do not include a job title, description, qualifications and location in the Job Title and Details area. ** Jobs that do not abide by Dutch labour laws (i.e. discrimination based on gender, age, race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin or disability).
