The final validation workshop on the development of #SriLanka’s Green Book was held at the Ministry of Finance under the leadership of Ms. J.M.S.D. Rathnayake, Director General of the National Planning Department, led by the Global Environment Facility funded Early Action Support for Global Biodiversity Framework project implemented by UNDP #lka. The draft Green Book was presented by Prof. Prashanthi Gunawardene, Professor in Environmental Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and lead consultant. The document will now be open for final comments before being adopted for implementation, marking an important step towards advancing sustainable planning and financing in Sri Lanka.
