Meet the Class of 2024 of the Techstars Transformative World Torino Accelerator! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce that after a rigorous selection process, 12 exceptional teams have been chosen to join us at OGR Torino, our innovation and networking hub. Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we kick off a 13-week accelerator program, where these teams will forge valuable connections that extend far beyond the program's duration. The diverse mix of software and hardware companies, covering exciting sectors like Quantum Computing, Maritime, Deep Tech, EdTech, AI, PropTech, GenAI, AudioTech, Future of Work, and Hospitality, highlights our commitment to fostering innovation across various technological domains. We're pumped about the highest-ever participation of Italian startups, with six homegrown companies among our selected cohort and six companies joining us from Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, and Vietnam. Bestie Bite (Rome, Italy) Reshaping restaurant discovery and reviews through a peer-to-peer community. Trainizi (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) Microlearning platform that trains, engages, and retains deskless workers. REVIWAY (Reggio Emilia, Italy) Reviway tackles the issue of road surfaces deterioration with computer vision and a fully-automated vehicle. Better late than never 🚀 As we gear up to another exciting program and impatiently wait to reveal our next batch to you this Monday, February 19th – we also took some time to reflect our last year’s achievements and what will make the year ahead special for us! 📈 Fundraising Success: Despite last year’s market downturn in early-stage financing, our portfolio companies closed 14 financing rounds in 2023, amounting to an impressive total of €90M post-program funding in our portfolio and 2 completed exits! 🤝 Partnership Renewal: Our longstanding partnership with key Italian institutions and innovation leaders, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Fondazione CRT, and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo was extended for 2 more years, a testament to our shared commitment to supporting local and international early-stage companies in the thriving ecosystem of Torino. 💚 Team Expansion: With now 50+ portfolio companies and an intensive 13-week accelerator ahead of us, we expanded our team with Sheila and Virginia, who will be supporting our portfolio companies throughout and post-program, bringing their respective expertise in Program Management and Venture Capital to our program in Torino. 🔗 Strategic Ecosystem Collaborations: Our collaboration with LIFTT - the leading venture capital firm investing in deep tech and our neighbours at OGR Torino, and with Arcanys Ventures - giving our founders unprecedented access to their team of +300 seasoned Tech experts, are one of the many key strategic relationships we have developed both with local and international players that can provide hands-on support in key challenging areas such as strategic growth and investor readiness for our startups. CEO and co-founder Anastasia Kuskova shares her experience with us in an exclusive interview about the fundraising process and why she's excited to work with powerful funds and investors like Fund F by Female Founders (Nina Wöss, Jaysri Thangam), who led the round, as well as BlackWood (Bastian R.
