Last month, I had the chance to see a SpaceX Falcon 9 #rocket launch live 🚀 It was a visually and acoustically overwhelming experience. I thought it would be difficult to be at the right time at the right spot... but it was surprisingly easy. Did you know they are launching every 3-5 days? This is only possible through engineering #excellence, making rocket landing and re-launch the new standard - the number of re-flights until today is 225 (!), making spaceflight more accessible at substantially lower cost. I would call it a #revolution. What does it mean for the adoption of new technologies? With the right plan, people, mission, belief, willingness to learn from failure, money - it's possible 💪 (video running at 4x speed - it looks surprisingly slow, from a distance)

Why ISRO Needs SpaceX (For Now) NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has tied up with Elon Musk’s SpaceX for the launch of the GSAT-N2, earlier called GSAT-20. The communication satellite GSAT-N2 weighs 4,700 kilograms (kg). ISRO doesn’t yet possess a launch vehicle with the capability to lift a mass of more than 4,000 kg into a geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO) of about 180 km x 36,000 km. ISRO’s most powerful rocket yet, the Launch Vehicle Mark 3 (LVM3), has a 4,000-kg mass limit for transportation of satellites to GTO.

I am amazed whenever I see the incredible technology that SpaceX has been able to develop, they are the undisputed leader in Space Tech. Consider the incredible savings achieved by re-using boosters and rockets several times, 🚀 👨🚀 instead of wasting them after a single flight and "disposing" them in one of our precious oceans, 💦thus avoiding a sustainability nightmare with each splashed-down rocket. 🦐 🐠 And not less importantly, launch prices went down significantly, making spaceflights much more accessible... 🚀 💸 Which other tech area requires such a "game-changing" approach, what is your opinion?
