Read our answer to the bullshit about this huge overevaluated moderators, that seems they are the most important thing on Reddit, moderators who even write tons of bullshit about Reddit API changes. https://lnkd.in/exeP7EQW https://lnkd.in/ecCeXaYq https://lnkd.in/ew7W6R2m https://lnkd.in/eqTmGWtB https://lnkd.in/eWswh8uQ https://lnkd.in/epbaAafq https://lnkd.in/eEuJ-Hzu The Reddit rebellion is a reminder of what matters, as platform strong-arms moderators https://perma.cc/PFX4-PZUM #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman

Currently there are 3 type of persons: 1) pro Reddit 2) pro Apollo (means API) 3) pro Reddit and API - We are Nr.3 because a) API is not related just to Apollo, but some web apps too (now we don't consider "the utility of Apollo app" ...) b) Reddit doesn't say just bullshits (you first even need to read what they wrote, not just comment without any background infos or experiences) c) price is crazy like Twitter d) like we wrote previously all different topics related to API e) we are proving big services and are using Reddit at the same time f) there are lot of bullshit said by Reddit moderators and users. Again, the point is not to be pro Reddit or pro API, but to find a combination and a solution. We think that even Apollo dev would be happy, if Reddit would just reduce the price, like they are saying about moderator bots, that will work free like before (after request). If Reddit is continuing proving RSS once there is paid API, we are happy too. So all people and Reddit would be happy! If the goal is to contrast AI, just charge tons of money to AI requests. But remember: that API remains free is just an utopia! #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman

SFW Subreddits full of porn, the facts 1) you know that you are contributing to maybe a full ban of porn on Reddit? Is really that what you want? 2) and to the ban of such subreddits on other socials, if the owners don't stop the configurations! 3) posts are NSFW = not showed on r/all or r/popular = no difference for Reddit 4) people complain about some porn available on other socials, but then they are not saying anything about the switch from SFW to porn content on Reddit 5) how could this contribute to the API change? and again, are your subreddits really related to the API change ... (remove your obsession for Apollo before answering that and don't write bullshit too to justify your behaviour) 6) this is one of the reason why Reddit is applying ban or deactivations or removal of admins, like we wrote previously 7) you are just making Reddit worse and worse, but this doesn't mean that Reddit is dying, because there are still thousand of other subreddits who do things properly 8) read all previous post shared about API, stats, etc. to get real facts 9) about 7, remember you can replace such subreddits with third small subreddits or by opening your new subreddit 10) people don't need to check SFW subreddits to watch porn, there are already tons of social allowing porn, porno subreddits and porn websites too, so again point 5 11) porn is the main reason of spam on Reddit, and why Reddit is blocking all urls etc. and probably even banning subreddits and users in random mode without sense. Do you really want to contribute to such shit now? #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman

(part 2) Another example would be r/applevision (we never visited it, but we could use it just as an example). Apple presented it, someone during the WWDC opened that (while all other people watched the streaming) and now does this mean that who is admin on such subreddit is the reason why such subreddit "get famous"? Not directly, because again it depends from various points. He was just quicker to open such subreddit ... 7) Last point that is always written "they do it for free": a) no one is saying you need to do that (like no one is saying subscribers need to upvotes, comments etc., except those who really are asking that directly; we never and will never do that for example) b) no one said you need to do it for free too c) if you are not happy about that, you can even stop (there are so many admins active and after few weeks just inactive on their subreddits, but active as users on other subreddits not owned by them) d) remember what Steve wrote about the moderator bots 8) Still strange that Reddit allows other things on such subreddit they mentioned, but they removed and readded the admins from this post, even if they just asked that to the community. To be correct, they should do it with all subreddits, not just few picket randomly. But you know how Reddit is shit, where they already ban randomly users and subreddits. #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman

Bullshits on Reddit continues "... entirely ignoring the 40,000 people who voted to either take the sub back private" 1) this picture show exactly how people act (upvoting and downvoting at the same time) 2) Option is only visible with +, since downvoted ... 3) Are you surprise why Reddit removed you, if you wrote that you are ready to do same shit like r/pics or with porn content like the other ... Meanwhile obviously that Reddit added automatically upvotes to all such options for the OP, but remember that people are doing such thing too, so making multiple selections (1 upvote + 1 downvote, 2 upvotes + 1 downvote), like they are doing for other things too. Then there are even people doing just 1 selection. 4) The decision of 40k people on a subreddit with 22mio people is just 2%o! 5) r/mildlyinteresting don't need to use Apollo at all, since there are no problematic urls on such subreddit. If you are not using third solutions, you can even scroll on https://lnkd.in/etYJdg6n and all works fine. User and admins of such subreddit are probably even not coinvolted with 3 apps or whatever. Mildlyinteresting on other socials are probably not correlated to the admins too, excluding our things. Last point, Apollo is more for porn things, since porno websites are maybe the problem even if you are using new.reddit, but again, there are tons of other solutions than Apollo. 6) there is an important thing we need to say now clearly: NOT ONLY BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE ADMINS, MEANS THEY CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUBREDDIT! There are so many "dead admins on various subreddits" (like all dead Twitter accounts etc., even if people probably are still alive) and the success of the subreddit is even not only based on what admin do. Remember even that more subscribers are there, more will be visible on search results, suggestions, etc. The same happens with all other social networks. Means once you are big you need to do anything to get bigger (especially because Reddit is mostly based on content that other people are searching). The same happens with all such deals pages, where the community is searching and posting deals, but the website is cashing money from their content ... There are different admins that don't post anything, they just created the subreddit, are "admins" and basta. The work has been done by the subscribers. So if an admin is really not alive anymore, then obviously he cannot contribute etc. But this is not probably the case for most dead admins, who still live. #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman

"This reddit blackout has absolutely no point, it’s not gonna change anything and it’s annoying for people who use reddit" Our answer: 1) yes this is right 2) yes, especially if moderators write tons of bullshits 3) no, because if everyone is just ignoring all, nothing will change at all, like previously happened too! #reddit #redditapi #redditdev #redditblackout #redditprivate #redditfact #redditfacts #redditrestricted #redditprotest #subreddit #subreddits #redditapp #redditblack #SteveHuffman
